An 11-year-old boy with autism was found dead in the river after disappearing in Lindsay, Ont.

An 11-year-old boy with autism has been found dead in Lindsay, Ont. about 24 hours after being reported missing, police said.

Draven Graham’s body was found by an Ontario police underwater search and recovery team in the Skugog River on Monday around 3:30 p.m., Sergeant. Deb Hagarty of the Cavarta Lakes Police Department said in a video posted on Twitter on Monday.

Graham was last seen around 3:30 p.m. in the Rivera Park area of ​​Lindsay, Ont.

About half an hour earlier, a surveillance video had captured Draven walking north on Caroline Street.

His clothes were found in the same area, police said.

“Draven is autistic and has limited verbal skills,” police said Monday. “He has a sensory irritation to the touch. He likes to hide and is unlikely to come out if called by name.”

Officers from several jurisdictions and volunteer rescue teams searched Sunday and night with police dogs, boats, a drone and a helicopter.
