Ubisoft said it plans to reveal what’s next for the Assassin’s Creed franchise later this year.
“Join us this September as we unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed during a very special event,” franchise community developer Alice Teret said on Tuesday during the 15th anniversary of the live broadcast, which you can see below. “We can’t wait to show you what it has to offer.”
Although it has not been officially announced, it is said that Ubisoft plans to launch a larger, stealth-focused game Assassin’s Creed this year or in 2023.
Assassin’s Creed: Beginning of the 15th anniversary
Codenamed Rift and with Assassin’s Creed character Valhalla Basim, the title was originally planned as an extension for the latest series before being turned into a standalone game last year, Bloomberg reported in February.
It will be reported to focus on stealth gameplay and will be smaller in scope than recent franchise recordings, meaning it won’t be a big open-world RPG.
It is reported that Assassin’s Creed Rift will be released before the officially announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is a collaboration between Ubisoft Quebec (Odyssey) and Ubisoft Montreal (Origins and Valhalla).
It is claimed that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be a massive online game that has developed over many historical periods and that has evolved over time as a live service.
The live stream on Tuesday was also used to announce new content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
“This summer we offer a unique look at Assassin’s Creed,” said Jose Araiza, producer of Valhalla’s extended experience. “I am pleased to present to you a first look at our newest and most ambitious game mode, The Forgotten Saga, which will be free for all players on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
“We are excited that this summer you will experience a new fraudulent journey to Niflheim, the grand kingdom of the dead.
“And stay in line until the end of the year for one last surprise,” he added. “We will reveal the last episode of Avor’s story as a free chapter for all players.”
