A Toronto medical officer tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr Eileen de Villa shared the news of his diagnosis in a tweet in which he said he “follows public health guidelines and rests at home”.
“I feel relatively well and I owe it to myself to keep up with the COVID-19 vaccines,” she wrote.
This morning I tested positive for # COVID19. I follow public health guidelines and rest at home. I feel relatively well and I owe it to myself to keep up with my # COVID19 vaccines. If you have not already done so, take your next dose to protect yourself, your family and your community.

De Villa called on everyone to receive their next dose of vaccine, “to protect yours, your (loved ones) and (the) community”.
I wish the Toronto medical staffer @epdevilla a speedy recovery from COVID-19.
I spoke to her on the phone this morning and I am grateful to hear that she is feeling well, thanks to being up to date with her # COVID19 vaccines.
