Hours after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Rowe against Wade, reproductive rights protests erupted in the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country as huge crowds of protesters marched to show their outrage and fear of the decision.
And at London Stadium, thousands of miles away, Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day stopped in the middle of the set to express his disregard for the decision.
“F… America,” he said in the crowded arena. “I am renouncing my citizenship. I think I’m coming here. There are just too many devilish fools in the world to go back to this miserable devilish excuse for a country.

“Oh, I’m not kidding,” the Auckland-born musician continued. “You’ll get a lot from me in the next few days.”
The concert was the band’s sixth stop on their European stage of the Hella Mega tour, where they were joined by fellow pop punk archetypes Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
Elsewhere in England at the Glastonbury Film Festival, Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Billy Isle, cult indie-folk singer Phoebe Bridgers, legendary rapper Megan Tee Stallion and decade-old pop star Olivia Rodrigo also condemned the decision.
“Today is a really dark day for women in the United States,” Ailish said before performing a grim rendition of “Your Power” from his remarkable album “Happier Than Ever.” “I’ll say this because I can’t bear to think about it anymore.”
The Bridges, meanwhile, were chanting.
“Are there Americans here?” Who wants to say “F – the Supreme Court?” She asked the crowd before counting them all and shouting the prompt herself.

She wasn’t the only one who did that. Megan Thee Stallion angered the audience as she encouraged them to repeat the words “My body, my mother’s choice” over and over again. Finally, the panting Rodrigo listed the names of the Supreme Court judges and exclaimed, “We Hate You” before beginning a cover of Lily Allen’s “F-You.”
