Three people were killed and the Ontario police supervisor was called after an incident in the Alta Vista neighborhood in Ottawa on Monday night.
Police were called to Anoka Street, near Bank Street and Heron Road, around 10:30 p.m.
Two people were stabbed to death and another was taken to hospital with stab wounds, police said.
Police say another person died after “interacting with police” at the scene.
The special investigation unit is investigating the death. SIU investigates incidents involving the police in which there are deaths or serious injuries.
