Wimbledon 2022: Emma Raducanu won her Central Court debut while Andy Murray started with a victory
Wimbledon enters the third day of the All England Club with Emma Raducanu, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, leading attractions, after the dramatic late defeat of Serena Williams last night.
In today’s lineup, Raducanu returns after his debut on the central court and strives to overtake Caroline Garcia, with Murray scheduled to be third in the center with the prospect of a late drama against John Isner, who has had great success. The favorites for the hosts are ahead, after Djokovic opens against 26-year-old Australian Tanassi Kokinakis.
Cameron Nori (vs. Jaume Munar), Heather Watson (vs. Qiang Wang) and Harriet Darth (vs. Rebecca Massarova) will be looking to keep up the momentum of the impressive first two days for British SW19 players, as well as Ryan Penniston, the 26-year-old debutant. who won his first Grand Slam victory in the first round. This is another disappointing performance of the Grand Slam for Kontaveit – which has not yet advanced beyond the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam.
