US stocks rose on Wednesday afternoon after investors absorbed the comments of central bankers at a panel in Europe and looked at another round of quarterly earnings reports.
The S&P 500 rose 0.2% after closing 2% on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.6%, while the Nasdaq Composite Index added 0.1%.
