Bret Michaels was reportedly hospitalized in Nashville on Thursday night – just moments before he took the stage to perform with his band Poison.
The 59-year-old rock star is currently being treated at a local hospital after suffering an apparent reaction to medication brought on by his diabetes, TMZ reported.
According to the publication, Michaels’ colleagues took the stage before the show to inform concertgoers of the situation, adding that they could not go on without him.
Fans were clearly disappointed, with one person taking to Twitter to complain: “I came all the way from KC to watch poison. Bret Michaels is hospitalized. There is no poison in Nashville.
It is currently unclear whether Michaels or his band will perform at the concerts scheduled for Saturday in Florida and Sunday in Mississippi.

Representatives for the musician did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
While it’s unclear what caused his latest accident, the singer has a history of sacrificing his health for his music.
In 2014, he was hospitalized six times in two weeks after kidney surgery.

His longtime guitarist and friend, Pete Evick, told fans at the time that Michaels had two stents placed in his body and returned to concerts almost immediately, despite doctors’ orders.
“I can’t explain the amount of blood or where it came from, but it was horrific on his bus after the show,” Evic explained at the time.
Michaels, who also has type 1 diabetes, had an emergency appendectomy in 2010. Shortly after, he suffered a hemorrhage at the base of his brain stem.
