Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Richarlison from Everton on a contract until 2027. The forward has joined in a £60m deal, with £50m guaranteed and the rest in potential add-ons.
Richarlison underwent a medical in Brazil under the supervision of a member of Tottenham’s staff and although the club said the move was dependent on a work permit, it was a formality for the Brazil international, who has played in the Premier League since 2017.
Chelsea made a late bid to sign the 25-year-old but failed to meet the terms set by Everton, clearing the way for Antonio Conte to make Richarlison his fourth summer signing after Yves Bissuma, Ivan Perisic and back-up goalkeeper Fraser Forster as the manager prepares to the football Champions League.

Richarlison has scored 48 goals in 173 Premier League appearances for Watford and Everton. Tottenham are hoping to sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on loan next.
Manchester City have signed goalkeeper Stefan Ortega on a three-year deal as Ederson’s back-up. The arrival of the 29-year-old German, who was out of contract at Arminia Bielefeld, clears the way for Zak Steffen to leave on loan, with Middlesbrough working to secure the American international.
Ortega started all but one of Arminia’s Bundesliga games last season and was a constant presence for them in the league in 2020-21.
