A kayaker had to be rescued after capsizing near Northern Bay Sands on Saturday.
RCMP say two people were paddling in the area when one of them went into the water.
The Coast Guard received a distress call early yesterday afternoon, asking for help from anyone in the immediate area.
Police say the second kayaker was able to pull the other from the ocean and bring them ashore on a rock cliff, where they were eventually reached and rescued.
The person who ended up in the ocean was treated for exposure to cold water.
It is unclear what caused the kayak to capsize.
