NASCAR Cup Series at Atlanta: Quaker State 400 live updates, analysis, highlights, results

With 18 of 36 races now completed, the course of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season has proven virtually impossible to predict. 13 different winners have gone to Victory Lane in 18 races, with Tyler Reddick becoming the latest driver to jump on the playoff grid last week at Road America. And with another potentially wide-open contest this weekend, Redick’s breakout win may just be the tip of the iceberg in a rapidly changing playoff picture.

The NASCAR Cup Series makes its second trip of the season to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Quaker State 400, a race that features one of the biggest wild cards of all the races leading up to the playoffs. After an exciting race in March that saw 46 lead changes among 20 different drivers, the expectation is that Atlanta could be one of the best remaining opportunities for sub-threshold drivers to win a race, enter the playoff grid and completely change their seasons — drivers like Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bubba Wallace and Corey LaJoie, all of whom were contenders in the spring race.

The Quaker State 400 begins at 3:00 PM ET, with televised coverage on the USA Network and streaming on fuboTV (try it for free).
