NYPD cops shot and killed a gunman who opened fire on them in Brooklyn on Saturday night – just an hour after a similar shooting involving police in Queens.

The suspect, identified as Malik Williams, fled on foot from a bus stop in downtown Brooklyn around 7:40 p.m. before a shootout broke out at Flatbush Avenue and Nevins Street, law enforcement sources said.

Williams was shot in the chest after shooting at officers, according to the sources. No cops were injured in the shooting, and police were treated for ringing in the ears, sources said.

The incident came shortly after police shot and wounded a Cambria Heights man who had threatened to “blow up” the world and kill New York Gov. Cathy Hochul and the “chief of police,” sources said.

Police opened fire on 60-year-old Raul Hardy after he fired at them, according to the sources.

No employees were injured in the collision.
