Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, ‘hated’ being compared to her daughter-in-law Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, claims a new bombshell book.
Investigative journalist Tom Bower sensationally claimed that Meghan Markle “appears to have been driven by envy” towards Kate during her first months as a full member of the firm.
In his forthcoming book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors, Mr Bower made claims about the relationship between the two duchess after Meghan and Harry’s wedding.
In an extract from the biography published by The Sunday Times, Mr Bower claimed: “No other member of the royal family has suffered as much embarrassment from their own family as Meghan.
“There was some equivalence in Meghan’s disdain for her half-siblings, Samantha and Thomas, and now Harry’s disdain for Kate and William, in particular.
“The Cambridges, she believed, had failed to offer the recognition and generosity she deserved.
“She hated being compared to the uncomplaining Kate. Effortlessly Cambridge looked perfect.
“Meghan seemed driven by envy towards Kate.
“In turn, the future queen viewed her neighbor as disdainful.”
It comes more than a year after the Duchess of Sussex discussed during her interview with Oprah Winfrey the report that she made the Duchess of Cambridge cry before her 2018 wedding.
After saying “the opposite happened” and Kate personally apologizing but the Palace not informing the media to correct the story, Meghan said: “I think so much of what I’ve seen played out is this idea of polarity where , if you love me, you don’t have to hate her. And if you love her, you don’t have to hate me.”
