Three people were taken to hospital after being hit by an impaired driver

Calgary police say a man is facing impaired driving charges after three people were struck and injured by a vehicle outside the Ranchman nightclub on Macleod Trail.

Police say they were called to the scene around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect, a 20-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Police say more charges are pending.

The suspect has been released from custody.

Calgary EMS spokeswoman Naomi Nania said three men were taken to Foothills Hospital with traumatic injuries. They were in serious but stable condition when they were transported from the scene.

The victims are a man in his 20s, a man in his 30s and a man in his 50s.
