Teenage Mutant Ninja Pixels is Dbrand’s Pixel 6a skin dedicated to the turtles

A great thing about Google’s Pixel 6 series phones is their unique camera band design. If the coating on this tape was any color other than black – specifically blue, orange, purple or red – it would totally look like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And now that you can’t spot the resemblance, device vendor Dbrand would like to help make your Pixel 6 device look like one of your favorite childhood characters.

With Google’s latest phone, the Pixel 6a, set to launch next week, Dbrand thought it was a good time to revisit the sewers and release their Teenage Mutant Ninja Pixels stickers for all three phones. They match the green half-shell characters plus their masks and include four strips of camera labels that reflect the colors of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. Personally, I think the dual-camera array on the Pixel 6a does the best job of looking like proper eyes (the spider-like array of cameras on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, not so much).

Dbrand didn’t say they officially licensed TMNT or anything, but the logo sure looks similar; we wonder if the company is trying to create a copyright dispute again. Last year it was sued for the design of its PS5 Darkplates, and last week it made skins that can make your Pixel, iPhone, and other devices look like the Nothing Phone 1.

TMNP skins for the Pixel 6a, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro are available for pre-order now for $24.95 and will ship in early August. It would be very nice to wear them while streaming the retro game TMNT Shredder’s Revenge.
