Bellator 283 Results: Live Streaming Updates | “Lima vs. Jackson”

Bellator 283 is primed and ready to go later TONIGHT (Friday, July 22, 2022) from the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington, featuring a welterweight bout between former division champion Douglas Lima and rising contender Jason Jackson. In further action, Sidney Outlaw will battle Tofiq Musayev in a lightweight title eliminator bout.

Douglas Lima vs. Jason Jackson

Round 1: High kick from Lima, low kick from Jackson. Jackson gets a takedown and he’s in guard. Lima tries to get out of this predicament, but Jackson holds his position pretty strong. Jackson tries to mount but Lima prevents. Jackson stayed busy from the top position and nearly took this round. 10-9 Jackson

Round 2: Jackson wins early and he takes Lima down once more. Knees to the hips for Jackson. Lima is on her back again and struggles to get up. Not a good position for Lima. He grabs the arm and looks for the shoulder. Jackson grabs him and punches him. Lime throws an upkick and rocks Jackson, who is dazed for a second but recovers. Jackson is on top again and lands some hard shots. 10-9 Jackson

Round 3: Jackson goes in for another early takedown, but Lima defends well here against the cage. foot stomp by Jackson. Lima takes Jackson down and now he’s in the top position. Jackson manages to get up, then shoots and scores the takedown. Jackson lands some big shots from Lima’s guard. Lima tries to return fire but can’t land many of her punches. Jackson hugged him to the ground again. 10-9 Jackson

Round 4: Low kicks from Lima to start things off. Jackson shoots for another takedown and gets it. The crowd isn’t feeling this strategy and the boo birds are now in full force. Jackson lands some shots to the body. Lima looks a little frustrated here and for good reason because he’s down on the scorecards and Jackson is too top heavy. Lima is bleeding over her right eye. Three minutes into the fourth round and Jackson was dominating the round and the fight. Lima is breathing heavily here and it’s not a good sign going into the fifth and final round down on all scorecards. It’s not a lot of action and it’s not an exciting strategy, but it works for Jackson. 10-9 Jackson

Round 5: Lima comes out aggressive, throws and right and Jackson lands another takedown. That’s just not good for the former world welterweight champion. Jackson just works from the top and won’t let Lima up. Lima works hard but just doesn’t have the strength to get up. Jackson with some shots to the body, some to the head. Lima is disappointed. This is the story of the battle. Jackson tops the entire round to secure the dominant win. 10-9 Jackson

Final Score: Jackson wins. Lima by unanimous decision

Sidney Outlaw vs. Tofik Musaev

Round 1: Overhand right from Musaev, then a left hand rocks Outlaw off the jump. He’s on shaky feet and Musaev lands another right that drops Outlaw. Everything is over! AH!

Final score: Musayev def. Outlaw by knockout in the first round

Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Chris Gonzalez

Round 1: A shaky start from both men. After two minutes and not much action. Hiccup kick from Nurmagomedov. Jab from Nurmagomedov. After two and a half minutes, both men were hesitant by now. Lots of feints from Gonzalez. Gonzalez rushes Nurmagomedov and he lands a clinch and Nurmagomedov reverses and trips him. He sinks into front throttle. It’s tight and Gonzalez is forced to tap.

Final result: Nurmagomedov wins. Gonzalez via guillotine in the first round

Lorenz Larkin vs. Muhamed Berhamov

Round 1: Larkin comes in hot with some big shots, Berhamov escapes and scores an early takedown and is now in side control. Berhamov has Larkin down and Larkin can’t do much to get up. Larkin uses the cage to wall walk and he stands up. Larkin elbows the back of the head and Berkhamov falls in pain. A break in the game to allow Berhamov to recover. Berhamov tells the referee that he is dizzy. After taking the better part of five minutes, Berkahmov tells the referee he can’t continue and the fight is called.

Final Result: The fight was declared a No Contest (NC)

Davion Franklin vs. Marcelo Golm

Round 1: Jab by Franklin. Golm comes in with a right kick. Golm low kick. Golm catches Franklin’s kick and slams him to the canvas. Golm takes his back. Franklin fumbles. Franklin picks up Golm, gets to his feet and slams him to the canvas! AH! He picks it up again and hits it once more. Looks like WWE here. Side control for Franklin. Franklin throws some nasty elbows right on Golm’s chin. Golm has a nasty wound above his right eye. Golm with an overhand right that lands cleanly. Golm with a nasty elbow to the jaw. Golm is now going after Franklin. Franklin’s mouthpiece flew and another one to Golm’s right. 10-9 Franklin

Round 2: Another hard jab from Franklin. Golm low kick. Struggle for position against the cage. Golm with a solid shot and Franklin just walks backwards. A wild spinning backfist from Franklin catches nothing but air. Back to the fence, Golm looking for a takedown. A hard punch from Franklin stuns Golm for a moment. Franklin is tired, looks at the clock and tags Golm with a combo or two. Franklin shoots and secures the takedown. Lateral control. Golm somehow sweeps and reverses the position into side control. Now Franklin reverses the position, wow, nothing but brute force to do it. Franklin in guard, dropping elbows as the round ends. Close one. 10-9 Golm

Round 3: Switching jabs from Franklin and Golm fires back with a right hand. Level change for Franklin but Golm silences the takedown. Golm pushes the pace and Franklin fires back with a right that breaks his foe’s jaw. Golm’s wound is bleeding again. Golm pushes Franklin against the cage and lands some knees to the midsection. Franklin throws bombs even though he is exhausted. Golm gets all the haymakers out and pins Franklin against the cage. Knees to inner thigh for Golm. Wild spinning backfist from Franklin and Golm makes him pay by taking him down. He grabs his back and sinks into the rear bare throttle and makes him tap! EHA. A bloodied Golm deals Franklin his first defeat.

Final Score: Golm wins. Franklin by chokehold
