Calgary police have arrested and charged a man in connection with recent vandalism on the Peace Bridge.
Police received a call about 4:15 a.m. Sunday about a man vandalizing the popular pedestrian bridge over the Bow River, said Staff Sgt. John Gigon.
Guigon said officers chased the man on foot but lost him on the north side of the river.
Approximately 70 windows were damaged, police said.
In a release Wednesday, police said Brian Douglas Jensen, 58, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property over $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and violation of a probation order.
Police believe the same man broke glass on the bridge in June.
He is due in court on August 5.
