2 killed, 2 others injured in collision on Highway 16 west of Edmonton – Edmonton

Two people were killed and two others were injured after a car ran a stop sign and was hit by another car on a major highway west of Edmonton Thursday afternoon.

The collision happened about 50 kilometers west of Edmonton, on Highway 16 on Range Road 33 between Stony Plain and Wabamun Lake.

RCMP said the initial investigation indicates a Toyota Corolla on the highway failed to stop at a stop sign in Yellowhead and collided with a Honda Civic that was traveling westbound on the highway.
