The National Collaborating Center for Environmental Health has published a guide to a checklist for extreme heat



A heat warning continues for the Cariboo Chilcotin with daytime high temperatures ranging from 29 to 35 C with morning lows of 14 C, until Sunday, July 31.

The National Collaborating Center for Environmental Health has published a guide on its website for conducting in-person or remote health screenings during extreme heat.

It includes a quick risk assessment checklist to assess whether someone is at risk.

In Williams Lake, cooling stations have been set up during the day for local residents in need of respite at the Caribou Community Church on Oliver Street, in the arena lobby of the Caribou Memorial Complex, the Salvation Army during breakfast and lunch, the Outreach Society of women and the Caribou Friendship Society keeps its shelter open during the day for clients.
