RCMP: Human remains found in Manitoba home determined to have been previously occupied

Human remains that were found in Oakville, Man. home at the end of 2021 are defined as those of a previous resident.

In December 2021, RCMP received a report of human remains at a home in Oakville. Officers went to the scene and confirmed that the remains were not historical in nature.

Major Crime Squads are investigating the incident and announced on July 29 that the remains were those of a previous resident of the home.

Police note that her death was not reported to authorities and there is no evidence to suggest that her death was criminally involved.

The RCMP investigation has now been completed.
