Woman dies after being attacked by brother at Toronto home: police

A man has been charged over the death of his 49-year-old sister following an alleged assault at a home in Scarborough.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., Toronto police were called to a residence in the area of ​​Victoria Park Avenue and Donside Drive for an assault involving a man and his sister, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found a woman in critical condition. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Eudokia Japoutsis. She is the city’s 40th homicide victim of the year.

Police said her 37-year-old brother, Chris Japoutsis, was arrested at the scene. He is charged with second degree murder.
