Enjoy PS Remote Play on iPhone as intended with Backbone One

While mobile gaming usually takes the form of using touch controls, there are several mobile-friendly controllers that have hit the market. The Razer Kishi is one, but for those looking to showcase the PlayStation brand a little more when gaming on your iPhone, Backbone has now officially unveiled a licensed mobile controller called the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition.

Similar to the way DualSense looks aesthetically, Backbone One – PlayStation Edition was brought to life through a collaboration between the Backbone team and PlayStation. The white color remains, while the finishes are reminiscent of the PS5 controller.

With a setup that’s designed to mimic a traditional controller setup, albeit with your iPhone plastered in the middle, enjoying your favorite PS4 and PS5 games via the Remote PS Play app becomes a completely different experience.

Players can download the Backbone App for a personalized PlayStation experience. Inside the app, you’ll see various PlayStation integrations, such as custom glyphs representing the iconic PlayStation shapes and the ability to browse through hundreds of game titles. There will also be a dedicated row in the app with new releases and updates from PlayStation.

You’re also not limited to just the set of games that can be played via Remote Play. The device also supports other games from the App Store and streaming services that support controllers.

Backbone One – PlayStation Edition will be available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom at launch, with more countries to follow.
