A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing near Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival parade route

A man was seriously injured after he was stabbed near the grand parade route of Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival on Saturday afternoon.

Toronto police say it happened in the area of ​​Lake Shore Boulevard West and British Columbia Road just before 5:30 p.m.

Officers arrived to find a man stabbed. Toronto paramedics said a man in his 30s was taken away without life-threatening injuries.

Police said officers are currently searching for the suspect in the area. There is no published description.

The stabbing took place during the big parade, which was returning to the streets of Toronto after being interrupted by the pandemic.
