After banning BGMI, gamers face server issues and other errors

After the BGMI ban was imposed on the game and it was removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store, players have to deal with a number of issues while playing the game. Although no one can download the game anymore, those who already have it on their devices can play it.

A few days ago, BGMI players got the shock of their lives when the game was banned and disappeared from both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. However, those who have already downloaded the Battlegrounds Mobile India app on their smartphones were able to play it, but now they are increasingly reporting bugs that spoil their experience. In the latest development, some iPhone and Android users have reported issues while playing the game.

According to 91Mobiles, several BGMI players have started experiencing issues and possible crashes related to server issues. “Now reports have started coming in about a possible glitch affecting some users playing BGMI in India. An error message that says “The server did not respond. Please return to the login page and try again,” the game is flashing for some users,” the 91Mobiles report mentioned.

The report also mentions that a number of players have noticed restrictions on in-app purchases! Additionally, BGMI players even in classic mode started experiencing server issues, while others complained of lags and app crashes.

Is BGMI banned in India?

The reason for these errors could be simply due to a bug or because BGMI developer Krafton disconnected from the servers in India after the removal from the play stores, the report suggested. In case the servers are down, there will be no way for Battle Royale players to play BGMI!

Battlegrounds Mobile India was removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on July 28, reportedly under Section 69A of the Indian IT Act. This is the same law under which the Indian government banned a bunch of Chinese apps, including PUBG: Mobile, a few years ago. However, final confirmation from Krafton or the government is yet to clarify the reason.
