West Bank Police are investigating reports of a flare near the Burgeo Freeway off-ramp.
RCMP on Bay St. George says they received calls about a rocket being fired in a wooded area near the TCH and Burgeo Highway intersection yesterday evening.
Along with ground search and rescue at Barachois Brook, police are searching the area – a popular fishing spot. hiking and berry picking.
They are asking people to avoid the area while the search for the source of the flare continues.
