WWE SummerSlam Live Scores: Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar – WON/F4W

This year’s edition of WWE’s “Biggest Party of the Summer” will be the company’s first pay-per-view since the retirement of Vince McMahon.

SummerSlam takes place tonight at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The PPV will be headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

WWE promoted this as the final match between Reigns and Lesnar. A Money in the Bank cash-in may also feature in the match, with Theory promising to cash in on whoever wins.

Theory is also set to challenge Bobby Lashley for the United States title tonight. Other title matches will see Bianca Belair defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey will challenge Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and The Usos and Street Profits will face off against the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. In his hometown of Nashville, Jeff Jarrett will be the special guest referee for the title fight.

Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin, Logan Paul vs. The Miz, and a no-DQ match between The Mysterios and The Judgment Day are also set for SummerSlam.

Tonight’s PPV starts at 8pm ET. There will also be a pre-show starting at 7pm Eastern.

Show Summary —

OPENING SHOW

The panel was hosted by Kyla Braxton, Jerry Lawler, Booker T, Kevin Patrick and Peter Rosenberg. They took down the card.

(As usual, I don’t plan to recap the entire pre-show, just anything that seems somewhat noteworthy.)

Lawler and Booker buried Pat McAfee because he’s not a real wrestler like Baron Corbin. One of the other panelists suggested that Lawler should face McAfee if he felt so little for him, and Lawler was fine with that.

Theory explained his plan again (again) to Sarah Schreiber and felt very confident.

Titus O’Neil presented the WWE Titles to Meals of Hope, PENCIL and Musicians on Call and announced that $20,000 would be given to each charity.

The man in the mysterious videos will appear tonight.

Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch will open SummerSlam.
