Softball-sized hail fell from the sky Monday as a storm tore through central and southern Alberta.
Vehicles were pulled from the Queen Elizabeth II Highway Monday night between Calgary and Red Deer to wait out the hail storm that damaged many cars.

According to RCMP, the windshields and windows of 70 vehicles were shattered by the storm.
First responders from Innisfail have set up a triage station for those who need help, RCMP told Global News.
Both northbound and southbound lanes are affected but there are no road closures on Monday at 9pm
