Peel Regional Police were involved in a car chase in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 31) after a man stole a car with a passenger still inside.
Just before 4 a.m., a call was received about a car that had just been stolen with a female passenger still inside.
Police were able to contact the victim, which allowed them to track down the location of the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle traveled to Halton Region and Peel Police joined forces with Halton Police Service.
A brief police chase was captured on tape after the vehicle turned a corner near a convenience store security camera.
Halton Police eventually stopped the vehicle in the area of Adamson St. and Guelph St. in Norval.
A 32-year-old man was detained by the police. Charges against the man have not been announced.
As a result of the accident, the victim in the stolen car suffered minor injuries.
