A Kelowna woman is in custody after allegedly stealing an RCMP decoy car in West Kelowna.
Police say a decoy car was activated in the early morning hours of July 30 in West Kelowna.
The police found the car, which was occupied by a lone female driver.
The 39-year-old woman, a Kelowna resident who is well known to police, was arrested without incident.
She was also arrested for three outstanding warrants.
“We are actively using decoy car and decoy bike technology to curb theft in the City of Kelowna. I see a lot of these crimes being committed by repeat offenders,” says Const. Mike Della-Paolera for the Kelowna RCMP.
