The list of people who have secured nomination papers for the position of Kelowna mayor has grown to three.

But no one is named Tom Dyas or Colin Basran – although that seems to be only a matter of time.

Elizabeth Angelopoulos filed for mayor on Tuesday, joining David Habib and Glendon Smedley, who had already done so.

Dyas, who finished second to Basran in 2018, has already announced his intention to run for the city’s top political office.

He is already active on social networks.

All signs seem to point to Basran also running for a third term. Although he has yet to officially announce his intentions, Basran is featured in a campaign-style video on both his and the city’s Facebook pages.

The list of those who secured municipal packages also grew by two after Silky Babar and Scott Blackwell took nomination forms.

The number of people taking nomination forms is now 28, including just one incumbent, Loyal Wooldridge.

Only one nomination packet was taken for school trustee by a person who wished to remain anonymous.

Prospective applicants can begin returning completed forms on August 30.
