A new Pokémon Presents showcase will air on Wednesday, August 3, and The Pokémon Company is promising new details about the franchise’s mobile apps and the upcoming core games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
The latest Pokémon Presents will begin at 9am EDT/6am PDT and are expected to last around 20 minutes, according to the Japanese Pokémon YouTube account.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the big draw, of course. Game Freak, The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo have not revealed many details about the new games that will be released on the Nintendo Switch this November. We know Scarlet and Violet’s starters (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly), three adorable new Pokemon (Smoliv, Lechonk, and Pawmi), and two new Legendary Pokemon (Koraidon and Miraidon). And yes, there will be hot professors and some time travel theme, but we still don’t know the new name of Scarlet and Violet’s region, for example. By the end of Pokémon Presents on Wednesday, we expect to know a lot more.
As for what’s new in the Pokémon apps, that could mean updates to Pokémon Go, Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Café ReMix, and Pokémon Home. There’s also the long-awaited update to the Pokémon Sleep vaporware project.
