Chrissy Teigen announced on Instagram that she is pregnant

Teigen and Legend already have two children, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4. After suffering a partial placental abruption, a severe complication, while expecting their third child in September 2020, Teigen wrote a medium post describing the experience of losing 20 weeks of pregnancy.

“After a few nights in the hospital, my doctor told me exactly what I knew was coming – it was time to say goodbye,” she wrote. “He just wasn’t going to make it through and if it went on any longer I might not make it either. We had tried bags and bags of blood transfusions, each passing through me as if we had done nothing. one night they told me it would be time to let him go in the morning.”

She writes that she had to give birth to the son they had planned to name Jack, knowing he would not survive.

“My mom, John and I hugged him and said goodbye in person, my mom sobbing in a Thai prayer,” she wrote. “I asked the nurses to show me his hands and feet and I kissed them again and again and again. I have no idea when I stopped. It could have been 10 minutes or an hour.”

As of May 2021, Teigen took a step back from the spotlight and social media after celebrities including Courtney Stodden and Farrah Abraham accused her of harassment. In July, Teigen posted on Instagram that she had been sober for a year.

“I miss feeling lighthearted and carefree sometimes, but to be honest towards the end it didn’t feel that fun anymore anyway,” she wrote on Instagram. “I drank to end the crazy anxiety, which later mostly went away when – you see – I stopped drinking! sigh. anyway, i feel very good. sometimes I get really frustrated looking back on days I should remember much better than because of alcohol.

“There are pictures of huge life moments where my eyes just look… gone. Some are from real work photos, others just beach days with the family. While I honestly STILL don’t know if I will never drink again, I do know I never want to be one again. And so far, no one is the best. I’m going to let the bad dreams come and try to fix them with therapy, without alcohol.”
