A 17-year-old wanted in a fatal shooting outside a Scarborough high school turned himself in and was charged with second-degree murder Thursday, Toronto police said.
The teenager, who is from Toronto, cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is scheduled to appear in Toronto’s East Court on Friday morning.
The shooting happened on the grounds of Woburn Collegiate Institute on Ellesmere Road on the afternoon of October 31.
18-year-old Jefferson Peter Chardelli Guerrier was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 15-year-old boy was also injured. He was treated for gunshot wounds at a local hospital and has since been listed in stable condition, according to police.
Shardeli Guerrier’s killing is Toronto’s 59th homicide of 2022.
