Arrested after false alarms

A Kamloops woman spent time in jail last week after making two false burglary reports within 12 hours, police said.
According to the Mounties, police were called to an undisclosed address just before 5:30 a.m. Friday after a woman reported a trespasser at her home.
RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the woman told investigators the intruder was wearing a black hoodie.
“Officers attended and confirmed there was no home invasion,” she said, noting the woman had filed a similar report with police 12 hours earlier.
“The occupant was arrested and placed in holding cells until sober to prevent further offending.”
