Gourmand: Apple is launching its mixed reality ahead of WWDC ’23 in June

Apple is expected to release its mixed reality headset this spring, Mark German confirmed in his Included podcast about Bloomberg. The expert said Cupertino is on track with an announcement before WWDC, which usually takes place in June.

Such a schedule would mean that AR/VR wearables still wouldn’t be released until the fall of 2023, which may or may not coincide with the launch of the new iPhone.

Apple is already developing an operating system called xrOS, and a number of “high-profile software developers” have early access to provide the first wave of third-party apps.

The product will likely be called Apple Reality Pro and will initially be marketed to businesses, developers and power users.
