Ontario Provincial Police say a woman is wanted on a warrant for allegedly stealing charitable donations from a mall in Pembroke, Ont. is arrested.
Police first reported the incident in mid-December. Checks and cash were reported stolen from a Kiwanis Christmas Toy Donation Box at Pembroke Mall on December 17, 2022. People who donated checks were told to contact their banks to cancel them.
An arrest warrant was issued for Kerry Lynn Booker, 41, of Ottawa, on charges of theft under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with conditions of release and failure to comply with probation.
The OPP said in a news release Sunday that the accused was arrested on New Year’s Eve and is due in court on February 14.
