Provincial police said they are investigating the discovery of a body on the Bruce Trail south of Owen Sound.
Police began an investigation Monday near Concession 11, asking the public to avoid the area west of the Rail Trail, but no further details were provided.
On Wednesday, police confirmed that hikers had discovered a deceased person on Monday morning and notified emergency services.
Several units, including K-9s, forensic scientists, the lead investigator and members of the emergency response team attended the area to investigate.
Gray Bruce OPP say the death is not suspicious.
Provincial police are thanking the public for their assistance during the closure of the area.
It has since reopened.
