OPP are looking for 3 suspects after an armed bank robbery in St. George, Ontario.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are searching for three suspects after an armed robbery at a bank on Beverly Street West in the village of St. George.

According to Brant County OPP, it happened Thursday afternoon.

One person in the bank suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

It is unclear what weapon or weapons were used and whether money or items were taken.

Police told CTV News after 6 p.m. that the scene was still active and they were calling it a “serious event.”

Investigators are looking for three suspects who are still at large.

Police said that while it is unusual for an event like this to happen in the small village of St. George, there is currently no threat to the public.

Anyone with security personnel in the area is being asked to come forward.

Beverly Street West remains open to vehicular traffic.

Around 5:00 p.m., officers could be seen going in and out of the bank and surrounding businesses, interviewing witnesses.

The OPP posted a video on Twitter just after 7 p.m. of the incident.
