Police are looking for a man after he failed to turn up for a court appearance in connection with an incident in which he is alleged to have thrown soup at a 70-year-old convenience store worker.
Fario Mabanza, 27, faces multiple charges, including assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon, following an incident on January 8. He allegedly threw hot soup on a woman working at the store when she tried to stop him from shoplifting.
“Mabanza was released on bail but allegedly failed to return for a scheduled court appearance and is now wanted throughout British Columbia,” the Vancouver Police Department said in a press release.
He is described as 5’10” and 200 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
