RCMP in Kelowna are searching for a 45-year-old man described as a “high risk” offender.

Harley David Gillis is wanted on an outstanding warrant, which means police will have to hold him in court upon arrest.

The warrant was issued following a domestic violence call in which Gillis allegedly assaulted a woman, threatened her with a knife and stole her cell phone.

Gillis is described as Caucasian, six-foot-six, 180 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is considered a “high risk” offender.

The outstanding warrant includes several violations:

  • attack
  • assault with a weapon
  • making threats
  • breach of duty
  • theft under $5,000
