Samsung is launching its Galaxy S23 series later today, and the company has unveiled its new ‘Over The Horizon’ ringtone, created specifically for the new flagships. This year’s edition was developed with Yaeji, a Korean-American music artist, to celebrate “positivity and optimism in a developing world.”
The “Over The Horizon” theme is reimagined with each new Galaxy S series and retains its key sound, adapted to the current sounds of each year. Yaeji’s sound is recognizable in the electronic dance scene with its unique synths, beats and “lo-fi hip-hop rhythms to relax/learn” vibes.
Yaeji rose to fame in 2017 with her tune ‘Raingurl’ and is now expected to release her first debut album ‘With a Hammer’ in April. The collaboration with Samsung puts her in a new spotlight, allowing more people to connect with her unique musical style.
In this partnership, the musician uses a fusion of electronic elements, developing a playful version that “awakens the universal feelings of hope and joy, inviting us to imagine and be optimistic about what’s on the other side of the horizon,” reads the official press release.
