Engineers say they have developed a device specifically designed for their slim sports car, with components designed to meet the power and torque characteristics of its 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine.

The newly designed large-diameter clutch with reinforced diaphragm spring is used for operation, providing a larger friction area and a stronger spring to withstand the power of the GR Supra engine.

The ratio of the final drive in the models equipped with MT is reduced to 3.46 from 3.15 in the automatic, claiming that it avoids slow attacks and provides a reaction suitable for a sports car. Creative programming of his electronic brain will not only push the throttle when shifting into a lower gear so that your friends think you’re Lewis Hamilton, but also the parameters are set to optimize engine torque at the moment of clutch engagement and release at higher gears.

Other changes include the apparent emergence of a third pedal in the driver’s footwell and minor changes to the center console for comfortable placement of the six-speed selector. It is claimed that the new “Hairpin +” function in the Supra’s drive settings allows more freedom and reward when taking narrow bends uphill on high-friction roads.
