We track every deal in the first round made before the NFL 2022 draft, from deals made almost two years ago to those that will happen on the first night of the draft. Each of them plays an important role in telling the whole story of the NFL Draft.
Here are all the latest draft pick deals for Day 1 selections, dating back to August 2020, when the Seattle Seahawks swapped two New York Jets first-round picks for Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams. The second of these choices is this year’s No. 10 overall, giving the Jets two choices in the top 10.
Their cohorts from Gotham, the New York Giants, also have two top 10 picks, in part because of a deal they made on the first day of last year’s draft with the Chicago Bears, which allowed the Bears to pick quarterback Justin Fields. Fields isn’t the only quarterback to influence this year’s draft contract, as deals involving signaling Russell Wilson, Deshon Watson, Trey Lance, Carson Wentz and recent Super Bowl champion Matthew Stafford have affected the first.
For the 2022 project, continue through Round 1 to find out the implications of previous deals and track more moves up and down on the project board.
