Charlotte, North Carolina — Comedian and actor Craig Robinson was scheduled to perform in Charlotte Saturday night when a man opened fire at a comedy club.
Charlotte police said the man entered The Comedy Zone just after 9 p.m. and was carrying a gun. He fired shots inside and the club was evacuated, according to WCNC.
No one was injured. The man was taken into custody.
Robinson, who was scheduled to go on at 9:45, was a regular guest on NBC’s hit show “The Office,” playing “Daryl.” He has also appeared in commercials for Pizza Hut and Gain.
“It was just wild,” Robinson said in a video on his Instagram page. “I was in the green room and they said ‘everybody get out!'” It was wild. It must have been a moment.’
