A traffic stop in Lethbridge on the Bonavista Peninsula led to drug charges against a man in his 60s.
Clarenville RCMP stopped the vehicle Wednesday afternoon. Llewellyn Chatman, 61, of Canning’s Cove, was driving with a suspended license and no insurance.
Police said he was found in possession of more than $6,000 in cash, a quantity of cocaine and a number of items related to drug trafficking.

His car was seized and impounded. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
