Toronto police have issued a public safety alert warning the public after a number of armed robberies were reported at Kijiji sales in the downtown area.
Toronto police said that on July 9 and 25, officers received reports of robberies in the central part of the city.
Police said the potential buyers arranged to meet with sellers to buy cell phones from Kijiji.

Police said that during the encounter, the vendors were confronted by men carrying firearms.

Police said the suspects also demanded money.
“In both cases, the suspects fled in a newer model white or gray imported SUV,” officers said in a news release.

Police are currently looking for two suspects.
The first is between 20 and 25 years old and tall, with a thin build.
Police said the second suspect is also between 20 and 25 years old, with a heavy build.
“Both suspects are armed, aggressive and dangerous,” police said. “If you are, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.
