A 75-year-old man died after a crash on Highway 401 in Scarborough Friday afternoon.
It happened on the eastbound collector lanes between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road just after 12:00 p.m. and involved one vehicle.
The Ontario Provincial Police said the male driver was taken to hospital without vital signs. He was later pronounced dead.
“We are currently working with the medical examiner to determine the cause, determining if this incident was the result of a collision or a medical episode,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
Police closed the eastbound collector lanes between Warden and Kennedy for several hours for the investigation. The sails were opened shortly after 3:30 p.m
