Kensworth Francis (left) is wanted after two men were killed and a woman was injured in a shooting.

The identity of the man wanted in the double murder of two security guards at a Vaughan nightclub has been made public and is the subject of a Canada-wide warrant.

Cops nationwide are looking for Kensworth Alton Francis, 27, of Mississauga, on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Two security guards, Tosin Amos-Arowoshegbe, 25, of Toronto, and Chibueze Momah, 22, of Mississauga, were working late hours guarding the ATL Lounge, a Vaughan nightclub on July 24.

At some point in the evening, a fight broke out. After the fight, the participants left the establishment. However, police say those involved will be back soon.

Gunshots tore through the stillness of the night around 3:30 a.m. on July 24. According to Moma’s aunt, Maureen Mrabure, the gunman fired from outside the club, hitting Amos-Arovoshegbe, Moma and an unidentified 20-year-old female patron.

Amos-Arovoshegbe and Moma died from their wounds before police arrived. Police found the young woman injured but in stable condition and rushed to hospital.

According to Mrabure, “Eze was killed on duty when the gunman returned to the club and could not enter through the front doors, he started firing several rounds through the glass. Eze, unfortunately, was hit blindly from behind and had no chance of survival as a bullet hit his carotid artery.

Mrabure started a Gofundme to cover Momah’s funeral expenses. In her description of the fundraiser, she confirmed that Momma is a foreign student from Nigeria who has just graduated from Durham College. Funds raised will also go towards transporting his parents and sisters to the service.

A few days after the murders, York Regional Police released security footage and images of the ATL Lounge showing a suspect and an acquaintance approaching and entering the club. The images were released in hopes of identifying the prime suspect.

Apparently it worked. On July 29, police announced that an arrest warrant had been issued for Francis in Canada. The suspect lives in Mississauga and is believed to have immigrated from the Bahamas.

Investigators describe Francis as a thin black man. He was wearing a white and black shirt the night of the shooting.

Francis should be considered armed and dangerous, police say. If you see him, don’t approach him. Instead, call 911 immediately. Police advise Francis to get a lawyer and turn himself in.

Since Francis is now a fugitive, helping him avoid capture in any way could lead to charges of aiding and abetting.

Anyone with any video evidence or information regarding the shooting, or who knows the whereabouts of Francis, is asked to call the YRP Homicide Unit at 1-866-876-5423 ext. 7865 Or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-(TIPS)
