The motorcyclist also said he’s thankful LRT staff are on duty because “it’s pretty confusing, to be honest.”
Full LRT service resumed Friday after more than four days of repairs. The main problem was that part of the O-Train’s overhead catenary was damaged by a lightning strike last Sunday.
The damage occurred between Lees and uOttawa stations.
Tuesday through Friday, OC Transpo operates trains between Blair and St. Laurent and the Rideau and Tunney’s Pasture stations. The R1 replacement bus system was placed between these areas.
Meanwhile, OC Transpo Chief Renée Amilcar said in a release Saturday that further inspections of train axle hubs will require slower operating train speeds and slightly longer travel times.

Twenty vehicles were towed last week after a wheel hub on one train failed.
All trains with more than 175,000 kilometers were then recalled for inspection and axle hubs had to be replaced.
Amilcar said on Saturday that there were 11 double coach trains as of Saturday.
She said the car manufacturers have asked OC Transpo to reduce speeds on certain sections of the track while the investigation continues.
“Due to the lower speeds, customers will see little change in journey times; the end-to-end service will take an additional four to five minutes,” Amilkar said.
OC Transpo says the typical end-to-end time is less than 25 minutes.
