Norfolk’s Lauren Hamp helped England to Euro 2022 glory in a fierce final against Germany at Wembley.
The Lionesses took the lead shortly after the hour mark through Ella Thune, but Germany grabbed a superb equalizer 11 minutes from time to send the game into extra time.
It looked like an all-too-familiar penalty shootout against Germany – until Chloe Kelly pounced on Hamp’s corner in the 110th minute to seal victory in front of a UEFA tournament record crowd of 87,192.

Former Norwich City Women’s player Hamp was substituted with two minutes remaining after another good performance in England colours.
Winner Kelly said she was living her dream.
She told the BBC in an interview that was interrupted so she could sing along to ‘Sweet Caroline’ with her teammates: ‘Oh my God, look at them, it’s amazing, thank you to every single person who supported us. This is unreal…Sweet Caroline!
“It’s amazing, thank you all, it’s the dreams of a young girl watching women’s football. Wow, that’s amazing.”
